This Privacy Policy explains what information Talkoverse collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using Talkoverse, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
When you enter a room, we collect the display name you provide. We do not require account registration or collect your email address, phone number, or any government-issued identifier. If you submit a report about another user, we collect the content of that report including your display name, the reported participant’s name, the reason selected, and any additional details you choose to provide.
Microphone and audio
Talkoverse requests access to your microphone only after you choose to join a room. Your audio is transmitted in real time to other participants in that room to enable live voice conversation. We do not record, store, or analyze the content of your voice. Audio is not retained after your session ends.
How we use your information
We use your display name to identify you within a session. We use submitted reports for the sole purpose of reviewing potential violations of our Community Guidelines and taking appropriate moderation action. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
Data retention
Session data including your display name is not retained after your session ends. Reports submitted for moderation are retained for as long as necessary to review and resolve the reported issue, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You may request deletion of any data associated with your session or reports by contacting us at support@talkoverse.com. We will honor deletion requests promptly.
Children
Talkoverse is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the service, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Talkoverse after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
